Why this site exists
Credit Card Debt Advice was created because credit card debt is often explained in a way that feels more complicated than it needs to be. Many people are shown balances, APRs, minimum payments and interest charges without a clear explanation of what those numbers may mean over time.
This site aims to make those numbers easier to understand. It does that with plain-English guides, realistic examples and calculators that let visitors test different repayment situations.

About the Founder
Ian Blackburn created CreditCardDebtAdvice.com to make credit card debt easier to understand.
I created this website because information about interest, minimum payments and repayment options can often feel complicated and overwhelming. I aim to explain these subjects in clear, everyday language and provide practical calculators that help people understand different repayment scenarios.
The information on this website is educational, and the calculators provide estimates. I am not a financial adviser, and the website does not provide personalised financial advice.

Our approach
We write for real people, not finance experts. That means explaining terms like APR, minimum payments and credit utilisation without assuming the reader already knows what they mean.
What we provide
- Plain-English debt and credit card guides.
- Multi-currency calculators.
- Realistic examples showing how interest may add up.
- Learning articles, including the history of debt and debt basics.
- Links that help visitors move from learning to practical tools.
What this site does not do
This website does not provide regulated financial advice. It does not tell visitors which product to choose or what decision to make. The content is general educational information only.
Where to start
New visitors can start with the Learn Centre, the What Is Debt guide, or the Credit Card Interest Calculator.
